New Blackburn boss Paul Ince is ready to make Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini is first signing at Ewood Park.
The former Liverpool, Manchester united and West Ham star is tracking the 34-year-old Italian who has been forced to play second fiddle to Petr Cech at Stamford Bridge for the last two seasons.
Ince is said to be keen to put pressure on 38-year-old Brad Friedel in the Blackburn goal and sees Cudicini as an ideal rival for the number one jersey.
