Bolton-born Carlo Nash, the former Preston North End, Manchester City and Crystal Palace goalkeeper who is now with Everton, will promote his second career with a book signing next week.
Bolton-born Carlo, 35, turned his love of travel photography into a booming business.

He and his wife, Jill, set up travel book company Luxury Backpackers and the books they produce have quickly become best-selling travel 'bibles' for backpackers around the world.

Their latest book is entitled Honeymoons In Style and the couple will be signing copies - as well as giving a talk about their global adventures - in Waterstones bookshop on Deansgate, Manchester between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, December 4.

I wonder if there is a section in his photography book entitled "views from the bench"

Back packing. If the "move nearer to london" quote when leaving North End is anything to go by....finding Everton, then his back packing stories must reach at least as far as Burnley!!

Good goal keeper but what a prat....he thought more about his hair than his colleagues ...lol

I wonder if his 'second career' will be more successful than his first one. Won't be difficult. I'm not sure what the literary equivalent of warming the bench is - maybe ghost writing for a Judith Chalmers travel pamphlet.

Honeymoons in style eh, I thought that was the general idea anyway.

Luxury Backpacking - i.e. backpacking with a suitcase i.e. going on holiday (but for people who have a 3 month break every year and can afford a multi-destination jaunt (i.e. not many people at all)).

Should have called it 'summer holidays for footballers (premier league/upper championship level)'

LOL post#6, but when you threw it directly at him, he plucked it from the top corner ?

Probably the best goalie we've ever had, it all went wrong when Bad-AppleMan dropped him.
