Sunderland are said to be in a battle with Newcastle United to sign Manchester City captain Richard Dunne.
Newcastle remain the favourites to sign City's player of the year should he decide to move because of the close working relationship he enjoyed with former Blues boss Kevin Keegan.

But no one will be coming or going until Eriksson's future is sorted out.

The Swede will remain in charge at least until City complete their tour of the Far East with a match against a South China Invitation XI in Hong Kong on Thursday.

Owner Thaksin Shinawatra is keen to see at least one big-name player arrive at Eastlands this summer, and has once again been linked with a move for Barcelona star Ronaldinho.
