Everton boss David Moyes, having apprently lost out to Liverpool in the race for Spanish winger Alberto Riera, has reportedly made a £10million bid for Newcastle United winger James Milner who is also being linked with Aston Villa.
The future of the England Under-21s star, who put in a transfer request at St James' Park earlier this week, is expected to be decided soon.

Club owner Mike Ashley and executive director Dennis Wise reportedly wants to raise money by selling him, but manager Kevin Keegan does not want him to go.

The Daily Mirror says that although Milner has handed in a transfer request, the move was designed to hasten talks over a new, improved contract and that the player does not want to leave.
