The transfer saga of the year - Dimitar Berbatov's on/off move from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester United - is set to be sealed within the next 24 hours.
The Bulgarian is finally poised to join the Old Trafford giants for £28 million - just three days before the transfer window slams shut until the New Year.
The deal is set to be clinched before Spurs take on Chelsea on Sunday although German champions Bayern Munich are said to be wathcing events closely.
White Hart Lane defender Jonathan Woodagte, formerly of Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Leeds and Real Madrid, has criticised Berbatov's withdrawal from the side that lost to Sunderland last week.
The England defender said: "If it was me I would not have done it in the first place. I would play. I don't know what what's gone on."
Spurs are said to be close to signing Russians Andrei Arshavin and Roman Pavlyuchenko from Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow respectively.
