When festival time comes round each summer, most promise to be bigger and better than ever before.
But for its 10th anniversary, Creamfields pulled out all the stops - from luxury camping to acts you wouldn't expect to see at a dance festival.

The all-nighter of years gone by was replaced with a two-day camping event, headlined by Kasabian, Fatboy Slim, Ian Brown and DJ Tiesto.

On Sunday, Kasabian didn't draw the largest crowd to the main stage but those who were there enjoyed an energetic set which included Kasabian's new material, their best-known songs including Processed Beats and Shoot The Runner before the penultimate song - a cover of Candi Staton's 'You Got The Love'.

At the same time, dance music stalwarts Underworld were playing the Chibuku tent and legendary DJ Tiesto was in a packed-out Cream and Goodgreef tent, where people queued to get in.

On the Saturday, Ian Brown played a great set including the anthemic F.E.A.R., Golden Gaze and Stone Roses' classic Waterfall.

And back on the main stage, Fatboy Slim pleased the huge crowd as always, with some new tracks as well as the usual favourites.

Another highlight were the Tidy Boys whose hard house DJ set in the Tidy tent got everyone dancing into the early hours.

New additions for the 10th anniversary included the BBC introducing bus which played host to special guest Judge Jules and the Skins Live Arena, based on the E4 television programme.

The Bugged Out crew returned to host the Bugged Out Arena and Swedish House Mafia led the drum 'n' bass night Ape in their tent.

Camping could be as basic or a glam as liked, with the more discerning partygoers splashing out £595 to stay in luxury 'Yurtel Hotel' huts in the Boutique campsite, complete with kingsize beds, chocolates on the pillow and a selection of spa products.

Capacity was reduced by 10,000 to 40,000 over the days so the site never felt too busy and there was a happy and safe atmosphere as crowds enjoyed over 100 DJs and 25 live acts.

Creamfields 2009 will also be a two-day camping event and tickets - at 2008 prices - go on sale this Friday. Visit cream fields.com for more information.
