Three people will appear in court on Saturday charged in connection with a burglary at the home of Liverpool footballer Lucas Leiva.

The Olympic medal was also recovered.

A police spokeswoman said three people had been charged and would appear at Liverpool magistrates court today.

Stephen Jones, 21, of Deansburn Road, West Derby, has been charged with burglary.

Brenda Jones, 42, of Lowerson Crescent, Norris Green, and Robyn Mutch, 19, of Redbrook Street, Norris Green, were charged with handling stolen property.
