Ten teenagers have been arrested after a firearm and cannabis were seized during a police stop and search in Liverpool.
The group was seen acting suspiciously in Milford Drive, Croxteth, and were searched by patrolling officers.

Four 16-year-olds, two 17-year-olds, three 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and the area was cordoned off.

Merseyside Police said the recovered gun was decommissioned and is being tested to establish whether it can still be used as a firearm.

Detective Superintendent Paul Richardson said: "This was an excellent piece of police work which resulted in the removal of a weapon from the streets."
