A Merseyside road is to get a £1.9m revamp in a bid to improve safety and help reduce traffic noise.
The Highways Agency scheme will resurface a 5.25km stretch of the A5036, which runs from the M57 at Aintree to the docks at Seaforth.
The work has been planned so that there will be minimal disruption to traffic and local residents are disturbed as little as possible, the Highways Agency said.
