Two drug smugglers were found guilty today of posing as supergrasses to escape long jail sentences.
John Haase and his nephew Paul Bennett orchestrated arms stashes across the country and then tipped off the authorities, in an attempt to reduce the sentences given to them for drugs offences.

As a result, police seized an "awesome array" of 150 handguns, rifles and machine guns, London's Southwark Crown Court heard. Grenades, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, fake Semtex, drugs and stolen property were also recovered.

A jury found them both guilty today of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
