A world-renowned shipbuilder has returned to its historic home.
Cammell Laird, one of the best known names in shipbuilding, last operated on the banks of the Mersey in 2001 when the company collapsed.
Since then work has continued there by Northwestern Shiprepairers and Shipbuilders, which this year won a Ministry of Defence deal worth a potential £1bn over 30 years.
But the company has decided to begin trading under the name Cammell Laird Shiprepairers and Shipbuilders.
