Armed robber jailed for five years

An armed robber has been jailed for five years after trying to rob a motorist and a shop in Liverpool.
Michael Gallagher, 33, held up a newsagent in Huyton and pointed a gun at a woman driving a Porsche.

Det Sgt Graeme Robson said: "This is a good result for the police and the local community." Gallagher was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court.
