A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in Manchester
Emergency crews were called to Moston Lane, in Harpurhey, Manchester, at 2.15am on Saturday following reports of an injured boy.

The victim had been stabbed once and was treated for a puncture wound but died on the way to hospital, said a Greater Manchester Police spokesman.

Detective Superintendent Shaun Donnellan said: "We are at the early stages of this inquiry, but we believe there may have been witnesses who could assist our investigation into finding out what happened."

Anyone with any information about the murder is asked to call police on 0161 856 3540 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
