Inmate charged with rape and murder of fellow prisoner

An inmate from Greater Manchester has been charged with the rape and murder of a fellow prisoner.
Neil Wilkinson, 28, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, charged with the rape and murder of Stephen Hartley, who was also 28, at HMP Whatton.

Officers were called to the prison, on the A52 towards Grantham, Lincolnshire, at 1.15am on Monday after reports of a death.
