Girlguides spent aday at the UK’s most famous fashion show.
The 5th Penwortham Guides attended the huge Clothes Show Live event in the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham after Holly Sale, 14, dazzled one of the UK’s top fashion experts to win free tickets for her group.
Girlguiding launched a competition inviting members aged 10 to 25 to customise a piece of clothing.
Holly impressed competition judge Caryn Franklin MBE with her entry – which saw her update her dad’s unwanted denim jacket with a colourful pop art-inspired design.
Holly said: “I used my Dad’s old denim jacket he was going to throw away!
“My theme was pop art – I used inspiration from Andy Warhol and Pinterest.”
Leader Julie Appleby said the whole group had enjoyed the day. She added: “We were really excited and proud of Holly when we found out she had won.
“Holly enjoys working on projects and coming up with ideas to create an amazing finished product.
“We all had an great day at The Clothes Show Live.”
