Outlook: good

Sheila's Wheels got together when the three of them auditioned for the Sheila's Wheels Car Insurance ads sponsoring ITV's National Weather – and in fact, one of them IS an Aussie.

But they were all seasoned entertainers already – as should be apparent to anyone taking in their show at Bolton's Albert Halls on May 29.

Cathi Ogden (the blond one in the middle) is from Sydney and was regarded as one of Australia's best soul-jazz singers. Not just a talented singer, she also writes and her services have been utilised by the likes of Louise, Jason Nevins and Todd Terry. Cathi also cropped up in the 2006 film 'The Foolish Things' starring Angelica Houston.

The other blond Sheila is Carly Romain. Born in North Wales, she trained at London's Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, one of Europe's leading conservatories for performing arts. As well as studying at the academy, Carly became a model and actress, touring 'Macbeth' and 'A Midsummer Nights' Dream' for 13 months.

The third member is the dark-haired Emma Robbins. She started her career with her brother and sisters in Granada TV's 'The Robbins'. Her brother Ted is support for the Bolton show.

She has worked with Michael Ball, Michael Bolton and Gary Numan and on TV she has been in The Fast Show, Lenny Henry Show and Victoria Wood. When not dressed in pink, she can also be found singing in her own jazz band.

Since they began performing as The Sheilas in September 2006, they have crafted a show based heavily on the 60s girl groups. Their appearances before ITV's weather report has resulted in a unique medley of weather-related songs in a truly quirky finale.

Duggie Chapman presents The Sheilas at The Albert Halls in Bolton on May 29. Tickets are available at all the usual outlets priced 13.50.
