A tapas-style Preston restaurant has been selected as one of the top 10 vegetarian places to eat in Lancashire.
The list, compiled by Lancashire Life magazine, also included places such as Nothcote Manner near Blackburn and The Art School Liverpool as well as Preston’s Dukpond Restaurant.
The Cross Street restaurant, bar and deli with Peruvian and Arabic decor serves world-wide cuisine and general manager Jonathan Hough says he’s delighted to be up there with the best.
“This is a remarkable achievement,” he said. “We’re up there with some extremely popular and reputable establishments which is excellent.”
The vegetarian diner was also ‘highly commended’ at the Free From Awards making it the only restaurant in the north west to have been selected.
Jonathan said: “We would like the people of Preston and Lancashire to be as proud of us as we are of them for supporting us with these awards.
“We have been and still are leading the way for vegan , vegetarian, allergy awareness and gluten free dining, since 2006 and we are in our tenth anniversary year of proudly looking after our guests.
“Now been recognised nationally for doing this, which is not done easily. All of our menu is home made and sourced locally, which is why we have also gained a “Taste Lancashire Highest Quality Assured” for 2016.”
And the restaurant is now looking for more support ahead of the ‘It Smiles Better Awards’ organised by Preston BID.
