Tribes

Tribes

Camden rockers Tribes will take to the stage for a headline gig at Preston’s 53 Degrees Friday 1st February.

The four-piece band, who have supported indie favourites The Kooks and Kaiser Chiefs, will play the gig as part of a mini tour ahead of their new album, Wish to Scream, being released in the summer.

The band’s fans include Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe, who named their debut EP We Were Children one of his Hottest Records in the World right now on his evening show in April 2011.

The video for the single also became a hit, having been filmed during a rooftop gig for fans and onlookers in their native Camden.

The band also performed a session at the BBC Maida Vale studios as part of the BBC Introducing project in July 2011.[

The four-piece - Johnny Lloyd (lead vocals, guitar), Jim Cratchley (bass, backing vocals), Dan White (guitar, backing vocals), Miguel Demelo (drums) - say they are influenced by the likes of Nirvana, The Pixies, Pavement and R.E.M.

Tickets cost £9.50 plus booking fee in advacne or on the door.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with support from Blue Lip Feel.
