From now on this dish will be known as the ‘Chicken and Cameron’.

Staff at the Bell and Bottle pub, in Blackpool Road, Kirkham, were in the swing of their midday service when Prime Minister David Cameron wandered in with his 16-strong entourage.

Mr Cameron then chose a chicken and bacon salad from the two-for-one menu and settled down to lunch with his colleagues.

For staff and customers Mr Cameron’s appearance - a brief stop off on his way to the Lancashire Cardiac Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Friday - was a real surprise.

Manager Emma Bell, said: “We were quite busy at the time, there were quite a lot of people in.

“We were just amazed, it was a really pleasant surprise that somebody like him would have chosen to come here.” With plans tabled for a ‘Chicken and Cameron Salad’ Emma, who has been manager for four years, said a plaque also could be unveiled on his chair.

She added: “I think we probably will do something along those lines. “I was just really proud he chose to come here and feel really proud we could provide him with his lunch.

“He said it was excellent value and he really enjoyed it.”

he doesnt need three year to show he is spineless, only out for big business, and is willing to shaft the population if he sees fit. hes done that already. and his power grabbing deputy PM is even wrose. not a single princple between them. and its not like we have any kid of real alternative in this country, labour is just a different shade of tory these days....ok, i should have said "do you know what an ad hominem attack is?" its where you attack the man instead of the ideas. name calling is where you go when you cant repudiate the arguments put to you.

" to the man " Mr pedant the man in question still has three years to run so at least give him a chance. Incidentally I do not have any particular political persuasion.

quite appropriate, considering how much cameron resembles a huge male chicken.
