A grieving widow said it with flowers as she paid tribute to her "sexy pants" husband from Exeter who was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Diana Barnes spelt out her love for Corporal Jason Barnes, 25, in giant floral letters as mourners gathered for his funeral in Colchester, Essex.

Cpl Barnes, of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, attached to 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment, died in a blast as he drove an ambulance in southern Afghanistan on July 22.

Leaning against his coffin as it was driven to church on Wednesday were individual floral letters that formed the words "sexy pants".

They were accompanied by a note from Mrs Barnes, which said: "Sexy pants, a wonderful husband, my best friend, my soul mate. We laughed, cried and shared everything together.

"I miss you more than words can say. My love for you will never die.

"You are my hero. Love you always, Diana xxx. Baby sleep tight."

Cpl Barnes, originally from Exeter, Devon but who lived in Colchester, was hailed for his bravery in helping save the life of a critically wounded comrade just before his death.
