Students showed off their creative skills in a Christmas show with the “wow factor”.
Level two and three media hair and make-up students from Runshaw College put together a catwalk show at their salon on Market Street, Chorley, on Tuesday.
They transformed models using festive-inspired designs, with creations including a Christmas tree fairy and a snow leopard.
Other models became characters from the Wizard Of Oz, including Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion.
As well as doing their hair and make-up, the students chose clothes for the models and some even made their own costumes.
The audience was made up of fellow students, college staff, family members and invited guests, who judged the creations.
Louise Bramwell, media make-up curriculum leader, said: “The students were fantastic. They exceeded expectations.
“I hadn’t seen the hair and make-up come together so when they put the final creations together, they had the wow factor. It was absolutely amazing.
“We are so proud of them.”
The show was held as part of the course to allow the students to build up a portfolio of work,
It followed a successful “scarefest” held at Heskin Hall at Halloween, with a summer show planned for next year.
