With a string of TV appearances, including every episode of BBC2's Mock the Week, and more than 100 sold-out tour dates already, you would not expect comedy's hottest property, Frankie Boyle, to do anything other than sell out Preston Guild Hall on Friday, October 17.
Everyone else will have to settle for his first live DVD released next month.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast, seen by more than 25 million people worldwide, returns to Blackpool's Grand Theatre from Tuesday, October 14 to Saturday, October 18.

The Bachelors host a series of Seaside Specials at Blackpool's Pavilion Theatre starting on Tuesday, October 14.

Disco Inferno is a feelgood musical packed with songs from the seventies, and a new production by Eccleston-based Say Two features more than 50 young performers from the region.

Set to Tchaikovsky's immortal music played by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, The Australian Ballet's dazzling contemporary version of Swan Lake is at The Lowry in Salford next week from Tuesday, October 14 to Saturday, October 18.
