Award-winning comedy duo Lipservice Theatre stage the world premiere of their show at The Lowry, in Salford next week, inviting audiences to spend an evening in the company of Tony & Twizzle in a production that lifts the comedy lid on the cult of celebrity.

Quickly returning to the region, after a knockout appearance in Manchester earlier in the year, Sinatra is at the Opera House in Blackpool next week.
At the heart of it is Sinatra himself, captured at the peak of his career.

Manchester plays host to one of the largest brass band festivals in the world when the 10th Great Northern Brass Arts Festival takes place at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Saturday, September 6.
Soloists include Black Dyke, Fodens and Brighouse & Rastrick bands appearing in the Gala Evening Concert at 7.15pm.
The Festival commences at noon with a lunchtime concert featuring Wingates from Westhoughton.

An Honorary Yorkshireman, at the Brewery in Kendal on Saturday, September 6, tells the story of James Herriot, familiar to many, either through his books or the popular TV series, All Creatures Great and Small.
On Wednesday, September 10, the venue plays host to one of Britain's most celebrated cricket commentators Henry Blofeld in his own one-man show.
The following night, Thursday, September 11, On Common Ground is an evening of stories, songs and music exploring the life and times of John Clare, the Northamptonshire Peasant Poet.

The Lowry in Salford is celebrating some of the best new and emerging performance companies from the region and beyond, with a whole season of studio shows this autumn.
Beginning on Thursday, September 11, when Theatre North return with their new show, Lord Arthur's Bed, the season ends with Tim Crouch's England, a unique production that takes place in The Lowry Galleries in late November.
