Preston Drama Club celebrates its 75th anniversary this coming season.Plays from the past will include evergreen audience favourite The Happiest Days of Your Life, which runs from September 24 to 27.

ak the theatre has been updated with a central heating system, thanks to the hard work of volunteers from all the societies who use the theatre.
Some of the previous season's Preston Playhouse shows were full houses – so audiences should book early.
New members are always welcome and anyone interested in acting, backstage work, helping behind the bar, costumes, front of house or even just socially should contact Debra Taylor on 07855 116348.
Membership is only £10 per year and entitles you to £1 off tickets for every performance.
Theatrical mini-tours are now given at the theatre on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6.30pm until 8.30pm – Margi Shaw, Norma Kelly and Janet Dawson provide the welcome.

A new theatre group in Preston presents its first show tomorrow night.It's Only A Cabaret by Musicality Productions is devised and directed by Philip Tomlinson, who also plays one of the lead roles. He is assisted by Peter Mounsey and a number of young people from the region who are studying on performing arts courses.
The show tells the story of a struggling cabaret club and features some well-known music.
The show is presented 'cabaret' style at St James' Hall in Avondale Drive, Lostock Hall, Preston on Saturday, August 30. Doors open 7.30pm for an 8pm. There is also pre-show entertainment.
