Lancaster Library have announced another two acts to take part in their ground-breaking Get It Loud In Libraries shows.
On Sunday, November 2, they play host to Florence and the Machine, AKA art school dropout Florence Wel
ch, while on November 28, their guests will be Swedish indie girl band Those Dancing Days.
Florence and The Machine fuse elements of grindcore, acoustic and tape music and Florence is best mates with indie weirdo Lightspeed Champion.
Formed in 2005, in Nacka, a Stockholm suburb, Those Dancing Days incorporate Northern Soul and girl-group influences.
Tickets for Florence and the Machine are £6 while those for Those Dancing Days are £7, both available now online from www.seetickets.com.

Belgian experimentalists dEUS have announced a show at Manchester Academy 3 on Monday, October 13, after returning to the scene with acclaimed new album Vantage Point this year.

Soulful folk rock singer/songwriter Martha Wainwright plays Liverpool's Symphony Hall on October 30, supported by Australian newcomers Angus & Julia Stone.

After writing some of the world's coolest movie soundtracks, including Ocean's 11 and Out of Sight, David Holmes releases his debut album, The Holy Pictures, on September 8.
He's in Manchester for one of a series of exclusive DJ sets to promote the record on September 5 at the Dulcimer, in Chorlton. Entry free, doors open 8pm.

Mercury Prize nominee Laura Marling is to play a show at Manchester's Club Academy on Saturday, November 8 on her nine-date Night Terror Tour.

The Pogues return to the MEN Arena in Manchester on Saturday, December 13 for their now-legendary Manchester Christmas show.
