Metal mania hits Manchester

Metalheads are in for a treat as three big names descend on Manchester.
The Scorpions are on at the Apollo on Wednesday, October 15, supported by Uli Jon Roth.

Tickets, £35, available from 0844 477 7677.

Then there's a double header next month with Yorkshire band Saxon teaming up with Motorhead.

They are on at the Manchester Apollo on Friday, November 14. Tickets, £25, from all the usual outlets and 0844 576 5483 or www.livenation.co.uk.

A week later and Manchester will resound with the sound of Thunder, who have opened for the recent Whitesnake/Def Leppard double header.

The band are releasing a six-track EP The Joy Of Six on November 3 and a new 12-track album entitled Bang!.

Thunder, supported by Heaven's Basement and Get Vegas are at The Manchester Academy on Saturday, November 22. Tickets, £21, from 0161 832 1111 and the usual outlets.
