Fifi Forget-Me-Not, star of pre-school TV favourite Fifi and the Flowertots, visited children at Royal Preston Hospital, ahead of her appearance in Preston.
She was taking time off from preparations for her live theatre tour, which comes to the city's Charter Theatre this weekend.

The Fairy and the Flowertots follows Clairy Fairy, a fairy who is blown off course and lands in Flowertot Garden.

Fifi and her Flowertot friends help Clairy find her wand so she can mend her magic wings and return home.

Fifi fans will be delighted to learn that a number of characters from the show will make their first public appearance as the hugely-successful TV series is transformed into a theatre tour. The 90-minute production will be full of music, fun and audience participation as Fifi, Violet, Primrose, Bumble and Stingo and Slugsy join together to help their new-found fairy friend.

Fifi and the Flowertots premiered on Five's Milkshake! and Nick Jr in May 2005 and has since become one of the biggest pre-school brands in the UK with more than 15 million Fifi products sold.

The series has also proved to be a hit overseas and has been sold to more than 166 international territories.

Fifi, the central character, voiced by Lancashire actress Jane Horrocks (The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, Absolutely Fabulous) is an endearing little Forget-Me-Not who inhabits a magical garden world with her Flowertot friends, and where every day is filled with endless possibilities.

The Fairy and the Flowertots is at the Charter on Saturday afternoon (Aug 2) and Sunday morning and afternoon (Aug 3).
