Creamfields review and ticket announcment
Published Date:

For its 10th anniversary, Creamfields pulled out all the stops – from luxury camping to acts you wouldn't expect to see at a dance festival.
The all-nighter of years gone by was replaced with a two-day camping event, headlined by Kasabian, Fatboy Slim, Ian Brown and DJ Tiesto.
On Sunday, Kasabian didn't draw the largest crowd to the main stage but those who were there enjoyed an energetic set which included Kasabian's new material and a cover of Candi Staton's 'You Got The Love'.
At the same time, dance music stalwarts Underworld were playing the Chibuku tent and legendary DJ Tiesto was in a packed-out Cream and Goodgreef tent, where people queued to get in.
On the Saturday, Ian Brown played a great set and back on the main stage, Fatboy Slim pleased the huge crowd as always, with some new tracks as well as the usual favourites.
Another highlight was Tidy Boys whose hard house DJ set in the Tidy tent went on into the early hours.
Camping could be as basic or a glam as liked, with the more discerning partygoers splashing out £595 to stay in luxury Yurtel Hotel huts in the Boutique campsite, complete with kingsize beds.
Capacity was cut by 10,000 to 40,000 over the days so the site never felt too busy and there was a happy and safe atmosphere as crowds enjoyed more than 100 DJs and 25 live acts.

Same again next year
After the overwhelming success of the first two-day Creamfields, the festival will return next year as a two-day camping event.
Creamfields '09 Early Bird tickets are already on sale – at the same price as this year and you can even pay in instalments.
This year's 10th anniversary celebrations were seen as the best yet.
Early Bird tickets at £105 for weekend non-camping and £115 weekend camping, are available at www.creamfields.com or www.ticketline.co.uk
