Tourism chiefs in part of Lancashire are celebrating bumper bank holiday visitor numbers.
Wyre traders, attractions and information centres reported a busy three days, with Wyre Estuary Country Park alone welcoming 10% more visitors than last year. Planned events also drew people to the area.

In Garstang, visitor figures on Sunday were almost three times higher than in 2007.

Tom Pridmore, director of leisure services for Wyre Council, said: "In spite of the changing weather, it was a great bank holiday weekend with visitors coming to enjoy many attractions and events in the area."
