Top local musicians will be gathering in Leyland next week in an attempt to encourage people from the surrounding area to show support for fellow tunester Ian Bailey.
An Evening With Ian Bailey and the Strange Fruits will see the Preston singer/songwriter perform songs from his critically-acclaimed second album Stop Me From Falling, which was released on Northern Sun Recordings.

He will be joined on stage by Richard Curran on violin and mandolin, Kat Daggers on backing vocals, Justin Randall on keyboards, Chris Higgin on sax, Pete Brown on bass and Mark Whiteside on drums.

Talented singer/songwriter Hannah Platt, from Liverpool, will open the evening with an acoustic set.

A special mystery guest is flying in for the show, following a songwriting trip in Australia.

It's all happening at The Waggon & Horses, in Bent Lane, Leyland next Thursday, October 9. Hannah will kick off proceedings at 8pm and admission is free.

See www.myspace.com/ianbaileymusic for more information.
