The highlight of the Easter celebrations will be the traditional Egg Rolling Fair on Avenham and Miller Parks, Preston, which dates back to the 1860s.
Families will be treated to bonnet parades, Punch and Judy shows, birds of prey demonstrations and a variety of live music, on Easter Monday from 10am to 4pm.

There will also be a new exhibition about the history of egg rolling on the park, which has been organised in partnership with the Lancashire Evening Post.

* The Walk of Witness will be on Good Friday starting from St George's Church, in Lune Street, Preston, at 11.45am.

The procession will end at the Flag Market.

* At Cobble Hey Farm & Gardens, off Hobbs Lane, Garstang, there will be a bonnet-making workshop at 1pm on Good Friday. From 11am on Easter Monday an egg decoration and rolling event will take place.

* Preston's Harris Museum and Art Gallery will host a play about one of Preston's most important historical figures.In front of the recently acquired portrait of Sir Richard Arkwright, a performance will take place to take a light-hearted look at the relationship between him and the artist who painted the portrait, Joseph Wright.

The short performance will be repeated throughout the day on Saturday April 11.

* A Farmers' Market and Craft Fair will take place at Guy's Thatched Hamlet, in Bilsborrow, on Easter Sunday to raise money for Vine House cancer care, in Ribbleton.The event will run from 10am to 5pm, featuring a wide variety of produce from the area.

* The National Football Museum, at Deepdale, will host a Football Feaster on Good Friday and Easter Monday, where youngsters will follow an Easter trail around the museum.

* Hoghton Tower will host an Easter Egg Rolling event on Easter Sunday. Rolling starts at 2pm and the house's regular programme of activities will also be running.

* A group of volunteers working to restore Bank Hall, in Bretherton, have organised an Easter Egg Trail around the building.
It will take place on Easter Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.

* All aboard the Ribble Steam Railway to take an Easter train ride and a chance to search out a few hidden eggs.
The railway based, on the docklands in Riversway, will be running an Easter timetable, from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.
Rides start at 10.30am.

* The RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, near Carnforth, will host a variety of exciting events from egg decorating, to guided nature walks throughout the Easter holidays:
On Easter Sunday and Monday there will be a Made in Cumbria Craft Fair from 10am to 4pm.
On Wednesday April 15 there will also be an egg decorating event between 1pm and 4pm, as well as nature trails from 2pm to 3pm. Children should be accompanied by adults.
Bird enthusiasts are invited to view rare marsh harriers on their return from Africa, on Tuesday April 14, from 11am to 12.30pm.
A mini-beast safari for youngsters over the age of five will take place on Thursday April 16, from 1pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 4.30pm.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

* Saddle up for some Easter fun at the Mawdesley Equine and People Trust, off Hall Lane, on Sunday April 12, from 12pm to 2pm.
Youngsters will have the opportunity to join the Jigsaw Pony Club, as well as taking part in an Easter egg hunt and the chance to ride on a horse simulator.

* Enjoy hotdogs and burgers at the St Michael and All Angels Church, in Egerton Road, Ashton, on Easter Sunday.
An all age family communion will take place at 10am followed by burger and hotdog refreshments and a family fun fair, from 11.30am to 2pm.

* An Easter Egg trail walk will take place on Sunday and Monday.
The event, which runs from 10am to 3pm both days, will start from Garstang Discovery Centre car park in High Street, Garstang.
All children will receive an Easter egg on completion of the trail.
The cost is £3 per child with all proceeds going to Garstang Mayor's charities - Garstang and District Scout and Guide Movement and Garstang Millennium Green.

* Crack the code and hunt for Easter eggs in a special walk around Worden Park in Leyland.
Maps are available from the coffee shop from Saturday and the activity costs £2 per entry.
