Watch Chloe Walker and Rebecca Lake wowing the crowds at Manchester's Palace Hotel
Singing starlet Chloe Walker, 14, has been hitting the high notes since she was a young child and alongside close friend Rebecca Lake, 16, they have become the top duo in the region.
After beating hundreds of hopeful entries, they dazzled a panel of celebrity judges and a host of guests, including Wayne Rooney and Colleen, at the Talented Youngster of the Year Awards.
Chloe, a student at Kirkham Grammar School, performed Tell Him by Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion, along with Rebecca, from St Helens, at Manchester's Palace Hotel.
Chloe, of Rosemary Lane, Bartle, Preston, also made it to the third round of auditions for reality television show X Factor. She said: "When we got there we heard everybody practicing and we thought the standard was amazing and we were the last performance of the night.
"It is the most prestigious competition of the year."
The duo held their nerve in front of a panel, which included Loose Women panellist Colleen Nolan, Coronation Street's Bev Callard and actor/singer Richard Fleeshman, to walk away with a cheque for £2,000.
Chloe said: "I enjoyed meeting Richard Fleeshman because he is just amazing and Colleen Nolan – it was nice because she is on television and she was a singer, so she knows what she is talking about. And gave us full marks!"
Chloe's proud mum Karen Walker, 50, said: "I just stood there in amazement I was so proud.
"There are not a lot two-girl singers around and they deserve a break, but it is getting that break."
Rebecca, said: "I just cried I was over the moon. It only hit me when I stopped partying. It was great to meet Wayne Rooney."
The event raised more than £20,000 for the Destination Florida charity, which raises money to send poorly children for holidays in the US.
