Prince Charles and Hollywood actor Jude Law are among her fans.
Classically-trained singer and West End actress Kate Chapman, from Euxton, is enjoying a rollercoaster of success and has just released a brand new single called Take My Hand And Dance With Me.

The 24-year-old former Runshaw College student took the West End by storm following her debut performance in musical opera The Enchanted Pig at London's Young Vic Theatre during 2006/7.

Jude Law and his children saw the show and even went backstage to compliment Kate on her performance.

People often compare Kate's big voice to singing greats Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion.

And life just keeps getting better for Kate as she travels around the country promoting her new single.

After leaving drama school in Scotland in 2005, she was asked to sing for Prince Charles, his wife the Duchess of Cornwall and 50 of their closest friends at Edinburgh's Holyrood Palace.

Kate revealed: "I sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I was so nervous."

Her album, O.C.D, is also out on Optimum records featuring songs written by Peter Coates as well as cover versions of songs from musicals.

Kate spends her time between homes in Euxton and Cyprus where she has appeared on Cypriot TV and performed many of the musicals around Europe with artists such as Dalarus and Nana Mouskouri.

Asked about her recent success, Kate said: "When I typed my name into Amazon and my face was staring back at me I thought 'wow'. When I have been doing radio programmes around the country, people have been ringing in to buy them. It's unbelievable."

Kate revealed she would love to perform the part of Eva Peron in Evita and break into TV.
