MORECAMBE'S The Platform has some great events lined up for their autumn season including music from Brian Kennedy, Alvin Stardust, The Searchers, Mari Wilson, 4 Poofs and A Piano and Hazel O' Connor.
To kick start the upcoming season flamenco guitarist Juan Martin comes to the resort on Thursday, September 11.

Voted into the top three guitarist in the world by US magazine 'Guitar Player' Juan has enjoyed recordings with the Royal Philharmonic and live performances with artists such as Miles Davis.

Tickets for the show are £14 each.

One of Ireland's most successful ambassadors of music, Brian Kennedy, comes to The Platform for a live show on Friday, September 19.

performed at the funeral of George Best, where his powerful renderings of 'You Raise Me Up' and 'Vincent' resulted in the release of a charity single 'George Best – A Tribute', from which 'You Raise Me Up' shot to
number four in the UK charts.

Tickets for the show in Morecambe cost £15 each.

On tour with his band for the first time since the 70s, Alvin Stardust comes to the resort on Saturday, September 20.

Alvin and his band will be performing music from, the 50s to the 80s including his own 70s hits and songs from Elvis, Buddy Holly, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown and Chuck Berry.

Tickets are £15 each.

Known for hit 'Just What I Always Wanted', 80s pop star Mari Wilson will perform live on Friday, October 24.

With tickets starting at £14 each, expect to hear all the classics including 'Cry Me A River' and the aforementioned 'Just What I Always Wanted' both taken from her album 'Showpeople'.

Since the 80s, Mari has changed direction musically and now tours with a jazz quartet and continues to build her reputation as a live
performer.

Thanks to their weekly appearance on 'Friday Night With Jonathan Ross', 4 Poofs and a Piano have become a household name.

Performing in Morecambe on Saturday, November 1, the group have enjoyed success in their own right including sell out shows at the Edinburgh Festival, appearances at Glastonbury Festival and a 30-date national tour with Joan Collins.

Catch them live in Morecambe, with tickets from £14.50.

Another 80s star to perform at The Platform will be Hazel O' Connor on Sunday, November 16.

Tickets for her show are £14 and expect to ghar hits 'Will You', 'Eighth Day' and 'Decadent Days'.

Hazel will be accompanied on the night by harpist Cormac De Barra and the intimate evening combines Hazel's interesting story with the musicianship of Cormac.

Fans of AC/DC can get along to a special tribute show – 'Live-wire' on Friday, Novem-ber 21.

The group have been touring the national circuit as an AC/DC tribute for five years and have developed a loyal following.

Catch them in Morecambe – tickets are £12 each.

A two and a half hour concert with The Searchers will come to The Platform on Friday, December 5.

Tickets are £15 each and the concert will feature all the band's famous hits including 'Sweets For My Sweet', 'Needles and Pins' and 'Don't Throw Your Love Away'.
