A Radio 1 DJ, eleven local and regional acts and a range of entertainment will make the LMC Music Festival the biggest event of the year and a first for the college.
At the main Morecambe Road site, four venues will host twelve acts and a range of entertainment will be provided across the college site when Lancaster and Morecambe College Students' Union host the music festival on Friday September 26 between noon and 3.30pm.

Headlining in the 500 capacity Hexagon Theatre are Radio 1 DJ Greg James, and Seaside Riot.

Greg James is Radio 1's latest signing as a daytime presenter and hosts the Early Breakfast Show.

Seaside Riot combine a love of The Jam, 60s girl bands, old Trojan Rude-boy records and the melancholy poetry of a seaside town.

They started the year by supporting the Kooks and have gone on to play numerous gigs across the country.

The line-up for the additional three venues includes: Ruby in the Dust and Heroes of She in the Bistro Restaurant; Idol Minds, A Day in the Life and Guilty Pleasures in the music lecture theatre; and Off the Rails, Shannakey, David Hanmer and Mr Nice in the picnic area.

The Hexagon Theatre is a student priority venue – entrance with valid LMC student ID card only, the other three venues are open to the general public.
