Long-serving staff have waved goodbye to pupils at a Preston primary school.
Teachers Christine Statter and Valerie Kay, who taught at St Stephen's CE Primary School for 39 years between them, left along with school cook of 34 years, Monica Cooke.

They were presented with flowers by colleagues and children at the South Meadow Lane school.

A spokesman for the school said: "They will all be really missed by the staff and children at the school. They have made an invaluable contribution to school life and their commitment to providing the highest quality learning for our pupils has been unstinting."
