Green fingers lead pupils to garden success

A celebrity gardener helped launch a wildlife garden designed by Lancashire schoolchildren.
Green-fingered pupils from St Michael's on Wyre CE Primary School's gardening club won a competition to design the greenery at Cobble Hey, Claughton, near Garstang.

It was opened by gardening expert Christine Walkden – famous for appearing on BBC's The One Show.

The garden features a bug hotel and pond.
