Mental health is the focus of a special film festival being staged in Preston next week.
The University of Central Lancashire is hosting the second annual One in Four film festival in its Mitchell and Kenyon cinema from October 6-11, during Mental Health Awareness Week.

The festival, sponsored by The Priory Hospital in Preston and Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust, aims to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health through the different portrayals of the subject in each of six films shown during the festival.

From 6pm there will be music and poetry before each screening followed by a short film or documentary, made by service users and carers themselves, before each main feature, which starts at 7.30.

The Saturday event will start at 1.30pm with live music and exhibitions. Contact Liz Kelly on 01772 893 809 or ejkelly@uclan.ac.uk
