It has been a very busy, exciting and rewarding 12 months for everyone involved with Ashton Community Science College.
The completion and opening of the school's new "Living Lab" and wind turbine were key events at the school this year.

Headteacher, Mr Chris Lickiss said: "Our new facilities have already had a significant impact. Regular use by our local primary schools, delivering training for staff and regular community use all support our drive and desire to further establish our school at the heart of the community.

"The wind turbine itself has created great interest in our school both locally and nationally, and has allowed us to establish partnerships with businesses and other schools throughout the country."

As part of the school's on-going commitment to the environment, the year saw the school's Eco group become firmly established.
