The North West Air Ambulance is asking its supporters to have their say on where the life-saving service is headed.
The charity is launching its Big Discussion to ask the public what they think of the service, how it can better engage with the community and any improvements that should be made.
Lynda Brislin, chief executive of North West Air Ambulance Service, said: “Giving our supporters a say in developing the vision for our charity is something that is really important to us.
“Changes to how trauma care is being treated in the UK is going to have a real impact on our service and as we are a charity that relies almost wholly on public and corporate donations to operate we think it is only right that everyone should have the opportunity to help develop where we are going.”
The NWAA, based at Blackpool Airport and City Airport, Manchester, flies throughout the North West, carries out more than 1,200 rescue missions a year and frequently flies to Royal Preston Hospital.
As part of its Big Discussion campaign the charity will be taking to the social networking site Facebook, talking to local businesses, volunteers and community groups to get people’s suggestions and opinions. Visit www.facebook.com/nwaac.
