Taking to sky for charity
Latest news
A Leyland Trucks employee is preparing for a sky dive to raise money for charity.
Kieron Grimes, 25, will take to the skies on October 7 to raise cash for The Christie.
The dad-of-one, originally from Clayton Brook, decided to take on the charity challenge in memory of his fiancée’s father John Szuta who died in 2007.
Kieron, who now lives in Manchester with fiancée Elizabeth, 31 and baby daughter Ava Grace, said: “The man was a true gentleman who I never got the chance to meet but have never heard a bad word said about him.
“The kindest and most thoughtful man who would do anything for anyone. He lit up a room and made everyone smile and was always there to talk to. I wish I had met him because he sounds like a genuine hero. Brilliant dad, great husband, brother, son, uncle and a best friend to all who knew him. He will always be fondly remembered for his fantastic personality and warmth.
“I want to do this sky dive in memory of him and the charity of my choice is Christie who the Szuta family have been long supporters of.
“I have set a just giving page and will be going out with sponsor forms as soon as I receive them.”
