Session to help spot the signs of child sex abuse
Latest News
People who work with children and families across Lancashire have been given training in how to spot the signs of sexual abuse.
Lancashire Police, Lancaster and Morecambe College and child sexual abuse prevention organisation Stop It Now joined forces to provide a one-day child sex abusive prevention training session.
The event aimed to give professionals, volunteers and carers more understanding about offenders and the signs of sexual abuse.
The event, held at Lancaster and Morecambe College yesterday, brought together police officers, health workers, child care workers and others with experience of dealing with children and sexual abuse issues.
Supt Ian Critchley, of Lancashire Police, said: “It is vital for us to spread prevention messages in order to protect children from harm.”
