Band set to play at charity event

A charity event will be held in Penwortham next week.

The Knights of St Columba are holding the event at St Teresa’s Parish Centre, Queensway, Penwortham, on Friday March 15.

Appearing are The Travellin’ Billberries – formerly known as The Elderleys – playing the sounds of the 50s 60s and 70s.

Special guests for the evening are The Shamrock Irish Dancers. Tickets are £5 and the event starts at 8pm.

Call 01772 743953 for tickets and more information.

The Knights of St Columba are an order of Catholic laymen.

The organisation, which is non-political, exists to support the mission of the Catholic church and, at the same time, work for the good of its members and their families.
