Serving and ex-service personnel can get help and advice from the Royal British Legion in Chorley.
The council is playing host to the charity’s advice and information officer, Allison Dobinson, on Tuesday.
She will have information about a range of issues, such as financial advice, bereavement support, home services, care services, support for injured personnel, and education and retraining.
She can also discuss other concerns people may have.
Chorley Council agreed to host the drop-in as part of its community covenant pledge to support the armed forces community in the borough.
Allison will be based in the council’s civic offices, on Union Street, from 9am to noon.
Anyone who has served for at least seven days in any of the armed services or their widow may be eligible for support from the Royal British Legion.
