Two high-flying Lancashire teenagers are through to the regional final of a competition to find the best students on apprenticeship courses in the country.
Victoria Snook, from Ashton, and Hajra Dawood, from Deepdale, both 19, have been named as finalists in the Learning and Skills Council North West Awards and will automatically receive a cheque for £100 each.
Victoria has been nominated for the Personal Achiever of the Year award while Hajra is hoping to scoop Apprentice of the Year.
The regional winners will be announced at a ceremony in Blackburn, hosted by television presenter John Craven, on May 15.
The awards are held to recognise excellence in learning, skills and achievements in individuals and organisations.
