The newly-created role is at Dunscar Garden Centre on Southport New Road in Tarleton, near Preston, as part of a recruitment drive for plant advisors.Dunscar business manager Shaun Lewis said: "We are increasing the number of specialist plant advisors on the staff to be able to assist both novice and serious gardeners in making the most of their gardens."

The National Federation of Builders has appointed Matthew Wilkinson as its new regional sales manager.Wilkinson, who has joined from national recruitment agency Hays, will be targeting small and medium-sized construction firms across the North West.
Sharon Reilly, who was born in Warton, near Preston, has joined the Co-operative Bank's Lancashire Corporate Banking Centre in Preston after two decades away.She will be attracting new usinesses to the bank and building on relationships with existing clients of the centre, which opened last year.
