A major survey is being carried out to assess the health of Lancashire's economy.
The North West Development Agency is to question 500 of the county's top companies on issues including red tape, the skills gap and the Tithebarn regeneration scheme in Preston in the first-ever poll of its kind.

Preston-based accountants Moore and Smalley, business group Downtown Preston in Business and the city's University of Central Lancashire are also involved in the study.

The results will be unveiled at the Lancashire Business Week, a brand new business event spearheaded by DPIB, the private sector lobby and networking group, running from Monday, June 2.
